December 2020 Release Notes: Enhanced User Interface, New Telemedicine Features, Better Messaging Experience & Much More
Upgraded User Interface
- novelHealth is committed to ensuring that every user has a great experience. That’s why we have a team of usability experts dedicated to finding ways to continually improve the experience for our users. Today we are excited to announce an overall new theme, with design updates for improving user experience and efficiency.
New Telemedicine Features
- Now you can switch between Grid View to see all the participants or select Active Speaker to view the current speaker. Those not sharing the webcam will have their initials instead. The grid view is available in the web version.
- Leave or End Meeting – You can now leave the meeting and let the other practice user continue with the video visit. Whereas you can also end the meeting for all the participants. Both of these options are available only to practice users.
Messaging Experience
- The practice staff can now take on the patient queries coming from the waiting room on behalf of the providers. All you need to do is just associate staff user(s) with the relevant provider profiles.
- Message Receipts – This feature shall enable users to track delivery of their messages. There are two kinds of receipts. Delivered indicates that message has been delivered and Seen indicates that a user(s) has seen the message.
- You can now use the in-meeting chat feature to send chat messages to other participants in a video visit.
Patient Device Compatibility Check
- In order to ensure you have a smooth video visit experience, patient’s device compatibility will be tested before they arrive in the doctor’s virtual waiting room. System will test their device readiness for audio and video. In case of failed test results, easy to understand and self-service instructions will be presented to patients.
Patient Visit Link
- You can now locate the patient’s visit link on your dashboard and copy it to share or send the same on patient’s email or cell number. Patient’s will then use the link to start their video visit.
Knowledge Base
- A knowledge base of help articles addressing patient’s common issues such as how to join video visits, device compatibility instructions, etc. has been established. We shall add more material to it soon.
